A Big Sur Wedding

April 14, 2018 - This was my very first large wedding I did alone for a couple I have known for a very long time. I was so honored when Sara asked me to photograph her & Joe's wedding.... and in the most dreamy place - BIG SUR!!

There's not much I can say other than what a fantasy this entire wedding was. Joe & Sara had been dating for 7 years prior to their big day and to see them tie the knot was beyond perfect. It was a wedding filled with the closest friends & family members, at a beautiful setting, in the perfect Central California coast weather.

Trying to cut down the number of pictures from this insane day was HARD (to say the least), so what the heck - here's 200 of them!

Here's when the girls started their morning in the beautiful house located on the Ragged Point Inn property.

Off to their first look..

All the little details ...

Let the ceremony begin!

Husband & Wife!!

Time to get this party started!

The first dance.

Time to dance the night away...

There was an incredible LATE sunset going on during this amazing dance party, so I decided to grab Joe & Sara to try and get some pictures! We experimented with an external flash (which I never use), so these next couple of pictures are super fun, candid, and grainy (they remind me of the film pictures you used to get from a disposable)...

The VanVleet's

Golden Views Session

The sweetest couple you'll ever meet.. with the most genuine love. These two, who happen to be my lovely friends, came to me & wanted a quick little engagement shoot. We kept it local and started at one of our best friend's house in their backyard. I do have to say, this was definitely one of the easiest shoots I've ever had to do, only because Hannah & Jonathan are entirely themselves with one another. It was as if I wasn't even there shooting the two of them. In every photo, you can see their true affection for one another. When I was going through and choosing the ones I wanted to share with all of you, that was even difficult.... since every single moment was unbelievably beautiful. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

A Windy Session

Megan's dream engagement shoot was Joshua Tree or somewhere closer to us that resembled it. We searched & searched & searched with no luck.... but so thankful for her sister Erin, who found the goldmine!! Out, literally, in the middle of nowhere... lies a state park with hundreds of Joshua Trees on the side of a very, very long empty road somewhere near Lancaster. Driving there, I wasn't sure exactly where I was headed... but once we all arrived, it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. A mix of wind & the perfect sunset...... this is any photographers DREAM situation. Everything about this shoot, including the wonderful couple, Megan & David, is still one of my favorite shoots to date (this shoot happened November 2016).

Desert Adventures

Being crammed in the car for almost 5 hours at this point on our way up to Lake Havasu, my best friend and I were becoming delirious.... Luckily, we were driving down Highway 40 right at sunset. Genna and I had secretly decided prior to the trip that we were going to do a quick photo shoot with her and her fiance, so this was our perfect chance. We got off at a random exit and shot for 10 minutes... Here's what I captured
